Agora University of Oradea (acronym: AUO, website: http://univagora.ro/en/) is a private university, legal entity of public utility, founded in 2000 and fully recognized by the Romanian official institutions by the Law no. 59 from 29th March 2012, published in the Official Journal of Romania no. 222 from 3rd of April 2012. Agora University of Oradea has in its academic structure the Faculty of Legal and Administrative Sciences and the Faculty of Economic Sciences, organizing 4 programs of study for 1st Cycle: Law (4 years, 240 ECTS), Local Police (3 years, 180 ECTS), Management (3 years, 180 ECTS), Accounting and Information Systems (3 years, 180 ECTS) and 2 programs of study for 2nd Cycle: Criminal and Forensic Sciences (1 year, 60 ECTS), Human Resources Management (2 years, 120 ECTS). All programs are accredited by law and Agora University of Oradea was given the qualifier TRUST, based on the last evaluation in 25th January 2018 made by the The Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS). Agora University of Oradea adheres to the ideals and principles enshrined in Magna Charta Universitatum, adopted in 1988 at Bologna and acts towards transition into the higher education and scientific research space of the values, norms and regulations promoted during “Bologna Process”. The national and international prestige of the AUO is confirmed by the quality of its academic staff, consisting of 62 full professors, associate professors, lecturers and assistant, by the collaborations relations established with similar national and international institutions from Asia, Europe and USA and by the scientific dissemination of our scientific journal: International Journal of Computers, Communications and Control (IJCCC - ISI indexed journal - hhttp://univagora.ro/jour/index.php/ijccc ), Agora International Journal of Juridical Sciences (AIJJS - http://univagora.ro/jour/index.php/aijjs ) and Agora International Journal of Economic Sciences (http://univagora.ro/jour/index.php/aijes ) indexed in international catalogues and databases. The AUO as part of the scientific, cultural and educational values international circuit promotes partnership and collaboration with similar universities in the country and abroad, based on the principles of academic freedom, equality and reciprocity. Currently there are approximately 700 students enrolled at Bachelor and Master programs of the university. Assist. Dr. Felix-Angel Popescu - Agora University of Oradea
Felix-Angel Popescu holds a Ph.D. Degree in Economics and besides his assistant position at Agora University of Oradea, he is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in Economics at University of Oradea. He is the president of the International Relations Senate Commission at Agora University of Oradea and he is departmental coordinator at the Erasmus Office. In the professional sector, he has achieved several trainings related to project management and evaluation, accounting and informatics, and he managed to further share his knowledge by becoming a certified trainer at the National Institute of Administration, in Bucharest, Romania. During his professional preparation for the professorship stage, he has been teaching Entrepreneurial Education for high-school pupils in Oradea, Romania. His bachelor and master studies are in the fields International Relations and European Studies, Regional Development, Business Administration.
Lect. Dr. Laurențiu Petrila
Laurențiu Petrila holds a Ph.D. Degree in International Relations and European Studies, achieved at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and besides his lecturer position at Agora University of Oradea, he is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in Sociology at University of Oradea. He is also working as an external expert in behalf of the Ministry of National Education of Romania, at Bihor county School Inspectorate, in Oradea. In the past he had several researcher positions and fellowships at Carolina University of Prague in the Czech-Republic, at University of Vienna in Austria and at European Leadership Forum Wisla in Poland. He previously worked as a teaching assistant at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.
Assist. Dr. Dan Petrica
Dan Petrica is an assistant at Agora University of Oradea, where he also is the institutional coordinator of the Erasmus Office. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Sciences and he is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in International Relations at Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. He has an educational background in International Relations, Cultural Studies and Project Management. He has experience in diplomacy and as an entrepreneur in the services field, being specialized in recruitment and facilitation.
