The University of Coimbra (UC) is a Portuguese public universty and one of the oldest university in Europe. UC has more than 700 years of experience in education, training and research. UC has affirmed its position over the years with a unique mix of tradition, contemporaneity and innovation. Today, UC is a large complex structure with three campuses, over 22,000 students, of which over 9% are international students from 75 different nationalities, and 2813 academic and non-academic staff members highly active and committed to the quality of research and education as well as to the development of knowledge and technology transfer activities. Expert in Adult Education and Development at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra (Portugal). She got her PhD in 2005 in Educational Sciences, specialization in Lifelong Education and Adult Training. Her research interests and participation in national and European projects include adult education, self-directed learning, reflective thinking, well-being and quality of life of adults. From 2009 to 2011 she has coordinated the team of the University of Coimbra in the European project PALADIN (Promoting Active Learning and Ageing of Disadvantage Seniors - 502217-LLP-1-2009-1-PT-GRUNDTVIG-GMP) financed by the European Communities and that got the final evaluation of excellent. She has published several articles, chapters and books about adult learning, self-directed learning and well-being of adults and older people, from which we highlight the coordination of the book published in English language by the University of Coimbra Press - “Promoting conscious and active learning and ageing: How to face current and future challenges?”(http://dx.doi.org/10.14195/978-989-26-0732-0). She is associated researcher in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of the University of Coimbra.

Associate Professor at the University of Coimbra, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. Degree in Psychology and PhD in Educational Sciences. Member of the Ibero-American project “ Red iberoamericana para el desarrollo de una plataforma tecnológica de soporte a la evaluación de los procesos de formación” coordinated by the University of Barcelona 2012-2015 which main purpose is to develop a technological platform to support the evaluation of training processes based on open tools, taking advantage of the free software to create a repository of tools and free online resources. She participated in LLP European projects namely: CyberTraining-4-Parents - Cyberbullying and e-Training Courses for Adult Literacy Educators working with Parents (2010-2012), CyberTraining - A Research-Based Training Manual on Cyberbullying (2008-2010), and also coordinated the Portuguese team of an Iberian project “Casebook and Teacher Training”, and participated in a Luso-Brazilian project “Higher education: challenges and perspectives”. She is member of the IPCDVS a R&D unit of the University of Coimbra and she is an integrated member of the Research Center - CEIS XX,University of Coimbra and member of Le@ds, Open University. She is the pedagogical coordinator of the E-learning project of The University of Coimbra. She has participated in graduated and post-graduated courses at an international level in the field of Educational Technology and Teacher Training.

Associated Professor António Gomes Alves Ferreira – UNIVERSITY OF COIMBRA

PhD in Education from the University of Coimbra and is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the same university, where he has been involved in considerable academic activity. At present, he is the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences and is member of the Council for Quality of the University of Coimbra and Scientific Coordinator of the Policies and Educational Organizations and Educational Dynamics Research Group at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies (GRUPOEDE, CEIS20). He is currently the President of the Scientific Council at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences and is a member of the Senate of the University of Coimbra. He has been the Coordinator of a variety of degree programmes among which are the Master’s in Training and Educational Administration Management and the PhD in Educational Science at the University of Coimbra. He has served as Subdirector at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences; President of the Pedagogic Council at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra, and Vice President of the Scientific Council and Pedagogic Council of the same institution; Coordinator of the Mobility Programmes at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra and member of the Coordinating Council for Teacher Training and member of the Bologna Observatory at the University of Coimbra. He has participated in several national and international research projects, has been part of the commissions of various Portuguese and foreign journals in the field of education and has served as Editor of the Revista Portuguesa de Pedagogia. He has worked on the various commissions for scientific events, both in Portugal and internationally, participating regularly in national and international conferences, and has been invited to speak at a variety of conference venues both in Portugal and abroad. He is the author of several books and dozens of articles published in both national and international journals.

Master student in Educational Sciences Diana Monteiro Pinto – UNIVERSITY OF COIMBRA

DGraduated in Educational Sciences from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra (FPCEUC), in Portugal, and currently attends the Master of Science in Education, at the same Faculty. Since 2017, she has been a member of the Psychology, Education Sciences and Social Work Students Group of the Academic Association of Coimbra (NEPCESS/AAC), where he currently serves as president. She was part of some projects at FPCEUC, such as Educere Socialis | Seminar on Socio-Educational Intervention Projects; I and II FPCEUC Employment Fair; the last three editions of the Transdisciplinary Days and the IV and V Symposium of the Portuguese Institute of Body Psychotherapy, with the themes "Emotional Health" and "Intervention in Psychological Trauma", respectively.
