DETAILS

Opening session

The meeting was chaired by Osman Titrek from University of Sakarya. All the partners were present at the meeting which was held online through Google Meeting platform. In his welcoming words, he wished everyone a healthy day. He gave brief information about the current situation in Turkey regarding COVID-19. He talked about the restrictions in the country. Then, other participants did the same, as well. The participants briefly discussed the possible effects of COVID-19 on project activities. Following the opening session, Titrek read the agenda.

Data Collection Tools

Carlos Sousa de Reis informed the participants about validity and reliability of data collection tools. He expressed the followings:

the scales had internal consistency and validity,

all the participants would be sent a full report and the data,

each partners should have an English version of the scales,

partners should apply to Ethical Committees to obtain permission for data collection procedure,

a sample permission file would be prepared in English and sent to all partners by University of Sakarya.

To do list

Mustafa Bayrakcı stated that he would do a “to do list” and send it to all partners via e-mail so they should check and stick to it.

Meeting reports

Gözde Sezen Gültekin expressed that all the meeting reports would be sent to the partners.

IP’s

Mustafa Bayrakcı gave some information about IP’s. The issues dealt with were as follows:

• the number of participating students

• the content of lectures etc.

E-book

David Rae talked about the preparations on e-book. He stated that there were still no chapter proposals for the book so suggested to discuss it in detail. The following issues were revived:

• There should be contributors from different countries.

• The book chapters should be about teaching, learning and results of surveys.

• The partners could find information about the content on basecamp.

• Teams of two should be formed for chapter writing.

• Partners stated their opinions regarding the publisher. They stated that there are well-known publishers and one of them should be considered for the publication.

• The lectures and book chapters should be integrated.

• There should be an additional meeting to discuss further issues on book. The partners agreed on 19th of May at 3.00 p.m.

Online education sessions

Osman Titrek reminded that the online education sessions should be carried out around June or July. The partners discussed it and agreed on the date between 5th and 9th of July.

Conclusion

Osman Titrek stated that the next meeting would be on 23th June. He thanked all the participants for their attention.
