DETAILS

1. Welcome of Participants

The meeting lasted for 1,5 hours via Google Meet Platform. Some partners participated in the meeting. Since this was the monthly meeting, the agenda was started from the ongoing issues.

2. Presentation of Agenda

Prof. Titrek presented the agenda quickly. Therefore, evaluation and discussion of needs analysis processes, planning intensive program (IP) in Sakarya, book chapter issues were addressed in turn.

3. Evaluation and Discussion of Needs Analysis Processes

In this step, firstly, Prof. Titrek asked to know the situation of the partners on gathering data, and he suggested that data collection on college and high school students should be made separately. Then, the numbers of the participants in each partner’s country were asked to Prof. Crisona; however, he stated that his colleague who is responsible for following the participant numbers couldn’t participate in the meeting, so he wasn’t able to see the numbers yet. For this reason, it was decided to check all the numbers in the next meeting. Prof. Rae stated that they had a problem to apply the instruments to the participant under 18 since their ethical committee hadn’t allowed them. So, he and Prof. Titrek suggested to apply the instruments to only college students. Prof. Reis, as the conductor of the need analysis process, explained the details on the process and stated that his team can prepare a global report on the need analysis data, and help for the analysis issues if needed. So, he asked the partners to collect the data appropriately for scientific process, and to send the final data to him for comparing and preparing for the global report at the end. The partners agreed on this issue.

4. Planning Intensive Program (IP) in Sakarya

In this step, the details on Ip in Sakarya were presented. Prof. Titrek gave information about the budget in which travel, and accommodation expenses exist. Then Prof. Biasutti wanted to know whether same or different students would come to the IPs. Prof. Titrek stated that the same students could participate to the IPs since their topics are different and he will check this issue. Prof. Titrek asked the partners to state their certain date on which they come to and leave from Istanbul. So, all the partners decided to present their round-trip tickets in the next days. Prof. Reis asked how the transportation from Istanbul to Sakarya will be done. So, Prof. Titrek stated that there are two options. Firstly, there are direct services from Sabiha Gokcen Airport to Sakarya. Their departure time is set approximately hourly. Since Sabiha Gokcen Airport is closer to Sakarya and these services directly come to Sakarya University campus, Prof. Titrek suggested the partners use to this airport and these services. Secondly, there are intercity buses from İstanbul to Sakarya. If the partners want to use Istanbul Airport, then they can reach to the bus terminal and use these intercity buses. However, Istanbul Airport is far from Sakarya and there can be traffic jam, Prof. Titrek again suggested to choose Sabiha Gokcen Airport. So, the partners decided to check their tickets and decided to their route to Sakarya. In the next meeting, this issue will be addressed again. Prof. Titrek gave detail information about the accommodation process in Sakarya. He stated that he will negotiate the authorities of Sakarya University about the choices for dormitories and hotels, and he said that he will send the details in the upcoming days. Also, a detailed program on IP in Sakarya was asked by the partners. So, Turkish team agreed to prepare a detailed one, and to send it to the partners as soon as possible. In this way, all the issues were discussed and agreed by the partners.

5. Book Chapter

In this step, the ongoing book project was addressed. All the partners were asked in which steps they were for the book chapters. Then, it was evoked that at the end of February all the book chapter drafts should be completed. So, the partners decided to complete their chapters as soon as possible for the first review.
